Herpes zoster (shingles, shingles)

Herpes zoster is an acute viral infection of the skin that appears as vesicles along the path of a specific sensory nerve. It is characterized by the presence of severe pain, which is why it is called (shingles), as it occupies a specific part of the skin depending on the affected nerve, as if it were a belt separating this intensely painful and red-colored part, as if it were fire, from the rest of the body.
